Located on a busy arterial road in Prahran, Avalon Apartments presented significant site access challenges due to constant tram activity and coordination requirements with VicRoads. Designed by Rothe Lowman Architects, the project involved the conversion of an existing house into two premium apartments while adding an additional two new apartments over three levels and a basement car park at the rear of the property. The design integrates contemporary architecture with the existing streetscape, balancing functionality and visual appeal while maximising the potential of a constrained urban site. Through detailed planning and close stakeholder collaboration, North successfully delivered a refined, multi-residential development with high-end finishes, efficient layouts and seamless integration of new and existing built forms.
